Sweet Rava Sheera (Sooji)

Hello friends, today I am going to share with you my favorite dessert dish prepared by mom. My mom is expert in making traditional vegetarian dishes. Not only me but also my entire family’s favorite dessert is Rava Sheera. Sheera is a most popular dessert in Maharashtra. It takes a little time for preparation with small number of ingredients. Now we all know that for diabetes patients sugar is very harmful, so instead of sugar in this receipe we will add some think different which will replace the sugar from our dish and will enhance the sweetness much better than normal sugar. You will get to know about that magic element as you further proceed in the article. Now let’s see how to prepare beautiful and sweetest sheera for 4 members.

Sheera (For 4 members)

Ingredients:

1 cup Rava (Sooji/Semolina)
½ cup Ghee
1 glass water
1 tbsp chopped raisins (kismis)
1 tbsp chopped cashewnuts (kaju)
1 tbsp cardamom (elaichi) powder

And the most important final element is the sugar but here we have substituted sugar with the magical element called as Sugar free Natura. Sugar free Natura is a very effective ingredient to replace the sugar from our diet. It is much sweeter than sugar and there is no any diabetes issue with it.


So any one can enjoy the desserts who is having the problem of sugar. Now we will take a look on the procedure to prepare Sheera.

How To Make Sheera Recipe (Step By Step Recipe With Photos):

1) Take ghee and fine semolina in a pan. Turn the heat on low-medium. Start stirring sooji constantly. It will take about 5 to 6 minutes to turn the mixture reddish brown.

    


2) Then add 1 glass of water in to the pan and stir it continuously. Keep the flame on Medium low range. It is very important to stir the mixture. After that put cover on the pan to so as to steam the sooji for 1 or 2 minutes.

    

3) Then add Sugar free Natura 1 teaspoon, add raisins, cashew nuts and cardamom powder and mix well. Cover and cook on a slow flame for 5 to 7 minutes, while stirring occasionally.

   
That’s it…….

Now Serve immediately garnished with cardamom powder, raisins and cashew nuts. I know you and your family will try this recipe.
