Impact of pollution on environment

We all want to live in a clean and safe environment. I think the purpose of life is to live on this earth which brings us lot of joy and encouragement. But from couple of decades environment is under the impact of pollution. Pollution is caused due to presence of some elements in wrong quantity in wrong time in the environment. These elements are called as pollutants. Generally all types of pollutants are manmade, especially the amount of pollutants in environment rapidly increased after the industrialization. Pollution is of three types, one is soil pollution, second is air pollution and third one is water pollution. Air pollution and water pollution directly impacts on our health and soil pollution has a very long and deep impact on the human health in terms of genetic problems caused through chemical contamination of crops and food items. During our growth we have polluted our entire earth with so many pollutants. Pollutants are very harmful to our entire ecology. Because of air pollution respiratory problems arises in all living organisms. Water pollution causes health problems. Now the present level of pollution in environment is very critical and action has to be taken as early as possible. Now a day the major problem of pollution is the increasing number of automobiles which runs on the petroleum products such as diesel and petrol. Automobile releases only small amount of pollutants in environment as compared to coal plant or industries but the total quantity of automobiles in entire world increases so much that the total pollution released by the automobiles goes beyond normal level. So as far as automobiles are concerned the quantity of automobiles is the main cause of the problem. Recently when some problems arrived in front of human being related to pollution then there after some countries had started rules and regulations for controlling the pollution. But it is really very hard to control the pollution because there is no any single cause of pollution, Thousands of ways are there through which pollutants are released in the environment. The only way to control is to increase awareness among the society. Today many people know about pollution, few were taking discussing about pollution, very few taking some initiative to reduce it. So it is our duty to control pollution by proper awareness among the people of our society.

For successful survival of our next generation it is very important that we all should come together and fights against this critical problem. The time may come that the earth will not remain livable for us because of the increased amount of pollutants. Now it’s time to do something for our environment, it is already late but still we can control pollution problem with proper planning and use of modern technology. This article is not the end but is a new start to increase awareness among all of us. From next article we will see hidden corners of the pollution and I will discuss this issue in more depth.
